Sapphic Dream is inspired by the queer experience. It is everything I think of when romanticizing my life. A warm summer day. Basking in the shade with scattered sunlight across your body. The light summer breeze and the sounds of the leaves brushing against each other. Delicate hands brushing across velvet collarbones. Soft lips whispering secrets to someone. This collection is a dream. It is romantic, feminine, and gay. My audience is not everyone. My audience is someone like myself; carefree enough to wear a gown to the grocery store because wearing that garment is what makes them most happy. Impractical to those who only care about practicality and utilitarian design.

I designed a collection I would confidently wear myself over and over again. I focused on my favorite elements from my inspiration (a woman wading in water, reflective water droplets, the array of colors from crystals, the celestial sky, soft flower petals) and Sapphic Dream was created. Featured in this collection are a combination of my favorite pieces to sew and my favorite silhouettes including historical inspired corsets and stays, appliqued tulle, cowl necklines, and romantic swooping capes and trains.
